ABOUT THE BLACKSMITH

Tony has been blacksmithing from Bringsty Forge now for well over a decade.

Producing items of individuality, longevity and quality, Tony uses hot forging at the core of the making.

AWARDS

Tony has won numerous prizes over the years at the Royal 3 Counties and Royal Welsh Shows and is currently a Bronze Medal holder. This award enables the recipient to call themself a Master Blacksmith and have the letters F.W.C.B. after their name. This is given in recognition of the high standard of their work after an assessment by the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.

COMMISSIONS & OTHER WORK

Tony works mainly to commission, although he also has work in galleries and exhibits and demonstrates at shows.

Designing commissions which involve manipulating the material whilst hot with both hand and power tools, thus giving the work individuality in form and texture, is at the core of his process.

After the initial contact, a site visit may be required which will lead to a consultation followed by a concept sketch and quotation.
